Dedicated vineyards on the morainic hills of Lake Garda. Garda microclimate, influenced by lake breezes, mild with low temperature excursions between day and night. The vineyard is cultivated using a traditional pergola system.
Production
Manual harvesting takes place at the end of September: the Merlot grapes are naturally dried for about 20 days in perfectly aerated crates. Vinification occurs in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and subsequently, the wine matures in medium-toasted French oak barriques for 12 months.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red, bright with violet reflections. The aroma opens with intense fruity notes of ripe cherries, plum with a citrus nuance reminiscent of blood orange. Rose and violet among the floral nuances marry with a touch of vanilla and a hint of toasted notes, of cocoa. Structured and well-balanced. Good length on the palate, with returning toasted aromas and a hint of coffee.
Pairings
To be paired with flavorful dishes, first courses with sauces or truffles. Excellent with meats, both roasted and grilled, and some game dishes, such as wild boar or deer.
Serving
A structured red wine in its youth, it will offer good evolution with maturity. The glass should be large. Serving temperature 16/18°C.
