From the morainic hills of Lake Garda. The climate is mild, the Prealps protect from the cold northern wind. The vineyard is cultivated with traditional pergola.
Production
After manual harvesting at the end of September, soft pressing, short maceration on the skins for about 10 days, and fermentation at controlled temperature. The wine remains in steel containers until bottling.
Tasting Notes
With a light ruby red color, clear with slightly garnet reflections. It expresses the varietal characteristics of Corvina with a typical bouquet of red fruits reminiscent of cherries and plums, intertwined with spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves. Balsamic hints and a slightly citrusy finish, recalling blood orange. The taste is dry: it caresses the palate without being heavy, balanced by a pleasant freshness. The still young tannins integrate well into this authentic and straightforward nature of pure Corvina. The finish is moderated by a slight savoriness that contributes to an overall balance in line with the type of grape variety and the wine obtained from it.
Food Pairings
Its immediate drinkability and straightforward character make it an excellent choice for those seeking an authentic and unpretentious wine. The perfect pairing is a typical one, with polenta and Venetian soppressa on an informal evening with friends. It accompanies light, everyday dishes based on pasta and white meat. Also pairs well with seasonal risottos and legume and vegetable soups.
Serving
To be drunk young, in a medium-sized glass, at a temperature of 14 – 16°C.
A courtyard full of young people, like a good wine, brings joy.
